Kyra opened her eyes. The morning air was cool and there was dew on the ground, making the grass seem to sparkle and glitter. She stood, stretching out her legs, and looked around. Many of the other horses of her herd were still asleep, but they wouldn't be for long. No, she wasn't going to wake them because they would wake themselves.
Trotting down to a stream, she drank a few sips of the cool water before lifting her head once more and trotting back to her post. After looking around for any signs of danger, she returned to what she normally did, looking at the herd and making sure everything was good and under control.

Pearl opened her eyes a little sleepily. She got to her feet. She looked around, she could see her lead mare Kyra nearby. She nickered a "Good Morning" and dipped her head respectfully to the mare. It was summer now, but there seemed unfortunately to be a lack of stallions in this herd.

Kyra lifted her head. She had been grazing. Smiling with a small nicker, she said,"Good morning, Pearl." Trotting over to the mare, she said,"Ah, summer. Unfortunately for us, we don't have many stallions. Oh well. We'll probably have some by fall." She snorted with amusedment and looked at Pearl.

Pearl smiled at the lead mare, it seemed that they had both had the same thing on their minds. She was in heat now, she could smell her own scent and Kyra probably could too so she said "We might have some earlier if they smell this" with a slight chuckle.

Kyra chuckled and looked out across the plain. "Perhaps." She trotted around for a bit before saying to Pearl,"When do you think the other, ah, mares will wake up?" Kyra looked towards the horizon and saw that the sun was already almost completely above it.

Pearl followed Kyra's gaze towards the horizon to the sun and then glanced back at the other still sleeping mares. "Soon I hope, Its time they would usually be up by now" she shrugged a little turning back towards Kyra as she spoke.

Kyra looked towards the herd and nodded. Some of the horses were starting to get up now. "Well, another stallionless day. Sometime, one will come soon. This herd's full of mares in heat." She snorted with amusement and trotted towards the herd, pausing to wait for Pearl.

Pearl nodded "I'm sure one will come soon, how wouldn't they be able to smell us" she chuckled trotting after the lead mare back towards where the rest of the herd were slowly waking up. - In Heat

Kyra nodded and continued on her way. Perhaps a stallion would come soon. Perhaps.
((OOC: I might make a stallion for the herd, and I might just have Ronnoc make them a visit after he finishes with Cheveyo and all that.))

Pearl stopped watching Kyra. She longed for a stallion she thinking what harm she gave her tail a flick from side to side at a pretend fly spreading her heat scent out across the plains. Maybe someone would smell it and come?

((OOC: Ok. Sounds good to me. Sorry. My internet went off. It was 11:00 pm. But I'm back.))
Kyra lifted her head slightly as she smelled something, but knew it was only from Pearl. Perhaps. Soon. She snorted and continued to graze, knowing that some lone stallion, if not any other stallion, would come and smell them. Perhaps even mate with a few and then leave. Loners tended to leave unless they were looking for herds to join.
