Reyna pulled some grass and chewed it. She swished her tail around, not really caring that she was spreading her heat scent everywhere. The flies were at it again, biting her legs and back. It was terrible. She had to keep swatting herself with her tail to keep them away as she grazed. Oh well. It wasn't like she didn't do this every day, because she did. It was just today that they were really starting to get on her nerves.
Lifting her head, Reyna walked over to another patch. She put her head down and grazed some more, snorting softly and giving a small nicker. She was alone, like normal. And she was okay with that. It's not like being alone bothered her particularly.

Reyna hadn't been all alone, just out of sight there stood a large stallion, his white[well grey] coat covered in dust. Thunder hadn't been aware of the mares presence as neither had she been aware of his. He could smell of heat scent vainly, but there were many mares in heat, their scents blown on the wind from here and there so it hadn't bothered him. He heard the nicker that's when he became aware of her. He raised his head but he couldn't see her. Cautiously he gave a low nicker.

Reyna snorted and kept on grazing. She stepped forward to a new patch of grass and started grazing there. Lifting her head a bit, she paused and looked around before putting it back down and continuing to graze. Nothing unusual, nothing harmful, all good. If anything did come up, she'd be ready. Reyna kept grazing
A few minutes later, she was still grazing when she heard a nicker. She didn't know where it had come from and was immediately cautious, looking around with knowing eyes. She backed up a little and kept glancing around. Hesitantly, she whinnied and stamped a hoof, showing that if needed, she would fight.
