Just outside the Daystone heard territory a group of four horses were gathered and a fifth a colt someway off unknown to the others faced with the danger of a cougar. Two mares Moon and Galaxy, mother and daughter well adoptive daughter were still happily exchanging words and stories both pleasantly surprised to see each other. Galaxy and the stallion with her Asher had been going to see Moon, Moon and Pyrite the colt had been on their way to see Pyrite's father. The two stallions had still been eying each other as the mares spoke oblivious to the stallions. Galazy was just explaining to Moon why she was here mentioning Asher she glanced towards the stallion for the first time since she had seen Moon again. "Asher this is my mother Moon" she said to him.

Asher looked at the mare and bowed his head respectively. "It is a pleasure to meet you. Your daughter has told me much about you." He lifted his head and looked at the mare with a hint of awe.
No one seemed to notice that Pyrite had wandered off again. He snorted softly and put his head down as he trotted around the corner of a bush, disappearing from view. He went farther and farther, sniffing around and generally sticking his nose into anything he could while trying to find his way to his father on his own.

Moon smiled at the stallion wondering how Galaxy knew him, from her herd she assumed but still she hadn't expected that she would spend time with anyone there."Its a pleasure to meet you too" she said giving a slight smile and a dip of her head in return.

Asher nodded and turned to look at Galaxy, not really knowing what to say.

Moon glanced towards the messenger stallion who's name she didn't even know "Should we keep going now?" she asked him. "You two could come with us if you'd like?" she offered to Galaxy and Asher. She looked around for Pyrite and not seeing him gave a soft whinny to call him back, him wandering off wouldn't exactly have been unexpected.

Pyrite didn't hear Moon's whinny. He was too far away, and not to mention lost. He was laying under a bush in a strange place he didn't know, shivering with fear and hoping that nothing would smell and eat him. He curled up, too afraid to make any noise just in case of anything dangerous that might be nearby.
Asher continued to look at Galaxy, waiting for her reaction. He figured it was best she answered.

Galaxy gave a nod of her head and was about to confirm the gesture with some words but the look on Moon's face stopped her. Moon had been waiting for the usual reply and quick appearance of Pyrite but nothing happened so her face fell and a worried look crossed it. She whinnied louder again for the colt.

Pyrite was still way too far away from the mare to hear her. He still layed under a bush with leaves on his coat, shivering and curled into a small ball. This wasn't what he wanted to happen. He just wanted to find his father and his father's herd. Not this.

Moon looked worriedly around at the others as if expecting on of them to confess to know where Pyrite was. She whinnied again at the top of her lungs this time. "We have to find him" she said another taking a few breaths after her whinny.

Pyrite stayed silent. He was alone and quite frightened, naturally. A few cougars had gone by already and he was lucky that they hadn't smelled him. Hopefully the bush was covering up his scent, but still. He closed his eyes and quietly took a few deep breaths, trying to calm himself and make it so that he wasn't that scared or worked up. That might make it easier for the predators to find him as well.
