Snowfall stood and, after getting up, looked around the herd. Then she started to trot, making he way around the group of horses, sniffing the air for any dangers or threats while keeping her tail clamped down to prevent spreading her heat scent.

Balios raised his head to watch Snowfall leave to trot around the herd. He sighed and lowered his head again to continue to eat the dry grass still trying to pick out the best pieces as he ate.

Snowfall finished her round and came back to where she started. She swished her tail slightly, but stopped soon and just let it still. She snorted softly and bent her head down to pick off a few of the dead blades of grass, wondering what to do now.

Balios lifted his head at Snowfall's return. He had enough of this dry grass. "Find anything interesting?" he asked her with a slight chuckle just wanting to make a bit of conversation with her again.

Snowfall sighed and smiled dryly. "No. Nothing. Bare as a tree with no leaves." She pawed the ground and snorted as a small dust cloud floated off into the wind. Not fun.

Balios sighed audibly and raised his head to look upwards to the sky. There wasn't a cloud in sight, no sign of rain only the sun burning downwards on them and their already so dry grass and the empty blue sky.

Snowfall yawned softly and nibbled on some dry blades. Lifting her head, she muttered,"Where should we go? There is no where we can go. It's all dry." She shook her head and put her head down again. They'd find a way. They always did.

Balios listened to what Snowfall said, it was more of a mutter to herself rather than something for him to answer so he remained silent apart from giving a loud sigh. He lowered his head to stare down at the dry grass once more, not eating it just look at it.

Snowfall looked at Balios and thought. Mm... Why was she looking at him? She sighed and turned her head, carefuly shaking it and putting it down to graze again. What did he have to do with anything? The fact that he was a stallion didn't matter... Well, maybe. At least he kept other stallions away.
